1. How much experience do you have in the industry? Tell me a bit more about Sofa Bargains.

Sofa Bargains is an online retailer with over two decades of experience in the industry. With this experience we understand the requirements of our customers.

We have based the entire ethos of the company on the needs of the customer. Our entire aim is to provide our customers with top quality sofas, with the best designs and provide real value for money.

2. Why should I buy from Sofa Bargains?

3. Why are you so cheap? What's the catch?

We are the main supplier to our customers. There is no big chain that our customers have to go through to buy our products.

The sofas come straight from our factory and delivered direct to you. As we have an online operation, we don’t have the large overheads associated with having a retail shop. This means we avoid high rental costs, business rates and day-to-day running costs of a shop which means we can pass these savings on to you.

4. Do you have a showroom?

We are now strictly an online operation which means we only stock a very small selection of stock in our showroom.

Our Leicester office is the main administration hub which deals with customer service, marketing and accounts.

5. How can I contact you?

There are two very quick and easy ways to contact us.

 6. Do you offer trade discount?

If you are a trade customer or want to buy wholesale furniture from us we can supply a range of products to you.

We offer the following support to our trade customers:

  • We can supply a full range of products to all our trade customers.
  • We can supply all other furniture products such as beds, mattresses and living and dining room furniture.
  • We run regular special offers on a selection of products which we make available to our trade customers
  • We will send regular communication to our trade and wholesale furniture clients

7. Do you offer any franchise opportunities?

Sofa Bargains aims to become one of the UK’s largest independent online sofa retailers. We are not driven by profits, but a desire to add value to all our customers.

We have a history steeped in the industry with over three decades of experience. However, we are of firm belief of the significant potential that exists for our business model across the whole of the UK and our aim is to fully realise this potential.

In addition, we have a targeted expansion plan which aims to grow our business model throughout the UK. We plan new shop openings planned constantly and as such are keen to hear from potential new franchisees (either individuals or businesses) that showcase:

PAYMENT

1. How safe is it to buy online and giving my credit and debit card details?

We take customer security very very seriously. We have a stringent process in place to safeguard our customers when they buy from us.

This includes an SSL Certificate which is small data files that digitally combine a cryptographic key to our payment gateways.

You will notice that our website changes to an https protocol which creates a very secure connection from a web server to a browser.

In addition, we have an additional security layer called 3D secure for online credit and debit card transactions. 

2. What are the payment options?

We have a number of options for payment.

These include:

ORDERING

1. I’ve ordered the sofa online, what happens next?

The online order process is very simple.

a)   Once you have ordered the sofa, you will receive a confirmation receipt to the email you provided on your online order form.

b)   A member of the Sofa Bargains customer care team will call you to confirm the order and give you a delivery time.

2. Can I order over the phone?

Yes, we are available on 0116 319 0990 if you would like to order over the phone.

3. How can I cancel my order?

You can cancel your order at any time. Simply, send us an email in writing to info@sofa-bargains.com within 7 days of making the order and we will cancel your order.

4. Do you take away my old furniture?

Unfortunately, we do not take away your old furniture. We suggest you contact the local council and ask them for help in removing your old sofa

SOFA INFORMATION

1. Do your sofas come with a product guarantee?

Yes, we are committed to providing the best quality sofa and employ quality standards in the manufacturing process. We provide a full year structural guarantee on all our sofas from the date of purchase.

 2. Are your sofas fully fire resistant?

A recent BBC Watchdog programme highlighted the lack of quality control at some sofa and furniture retailers. It's a criminal offence for a furniture supplier not to meet the safety standards. All upholstered furniture must meet fire resistance standards.

We take this duty very seriously. Rest assured, Sofa Bargains employ some of the highest forms of quality control. As a result all our products come as Fully Fire Resistant.

3. Will the sofa fit through my door?

Our sofas will fit through a standard doorframe which measures a minimum of 76cm (30in). Please ensure you have cleared the space to allow our professional delivery team to help deliver the sofa into the room of your choice.

4. Can I remove the cushion covers and wash them?

If the product you have bought is a scatterback cushion such as the Toulon and Cannes, you will be able to remove the cushion and wash them according to the instructions provided on the care label.

5. What is bonded leather?

Bonded leather is an affordable way to enjoy the luxury of a leather sofa.  It means that leather fibres are bound together with latex to give a lovely polyurethane top coat. In turn, this leads to a soft, durable and easy clean material known as bonded leather.

DELIVERY

1. Where do you deliver?

We deliver across the UK including Scotland and Northern Ireland.

2. How much is the delivery charge?

The delivery charge varies from place to place across the UK. Please check our useful guide on our delivery page for full information or call us on 0116 319 0990 or email info@sofa-bargains.com if you need further help.

3. How long before the sofa arrives in my house?

We aim to deliver within 3-5 working days direct into your room if the stock is available. Wherever possible, we will try to deliver on a specific day to meet your requirements. Scotland and Ireland deliveries will take 10 working days.

4. Do you deliver outside of the UK?

Yes, we cover the entire UK including Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland. Costs for shipping to different places vary and in some cases we use a palletised service to deliver your sofa.

5.Will you put the sofa direct into the room of my choice?

Yes, we operate a two man delivery service which means our team will place the sofa directly into the room of your choice so you do have to worry about lifting anything.

6. What days do you deliver?

Our delivery teams are in operation from Mon to Friday from 7am to 6pm including public holidays.

7. Will your drivers deliver up stairs?

Yes we will. We will deliver the sofa to a room of your choice. Please ensure you let us know in advance if we are taking the sofa upstairs

8. Can I request a specific delivery date and time?

For Sofa Bargains, your ease and comfort in our number one priority. We will always do our best to satisfy your needs wherever possible. However, this is not always possible but we will try to get to you as close to your needs as we can.

9. Will you call me before you deliver to my home?

Yes, we will usually arrange delivery days and times as soon as you have ordered. We will then call you a day before your delivery. On the day of your delivery our team will call you one hour before they are due to arrive to give you as much time as possible.

10. Will you assemble my furniture?

All of our sofas are brand-new and come fully packed and pre-assembled. It means you will simply have to unwrap the packaging and the sofa is ready to be used. It is as simple as that. We can also unwrap and place the sofa in a room of your choice if you want. 

Our other furniture such as bathroom cabinets come flat packed and we do not assemble these for you. However, the product comes with a simple instruction guide and is very easy to assemble.

11. Can I return an item if I don’t like it?

Of course you can.  Please let us know within five days of the order being received and we will arrange to pick them up. Please note, that in order to return, the product must be in its original packaging and unused. However, please read our terms and conditions very carefully before you purchase.

There will be a collection charge of £75 or more depending on the area of the UK you reside in.  Refunds will be processed within seven working days and will be minus any delivery and collection charges incurred.

12. What happens if the item/s doesn’t fit in my house?

When ordering a sofa please ensure you have read the dimensions of the product very carefully. We have even provided an image of the sofa with dimensions for ease. Before you order please measure the door width (76cm /30in) and the size of the room to ensure the product fits.

However, returns due to products not fitting will incur extra charges. There will be a collection charge of £75 or more depending on the area of the UK you reside in.  Refunds will be processed within seven working days and will be minus any delivery and collection charges incurred.

13. There are parking restrictions in my street. Can you still deliver?

Please make us aware of any parking restrictions when placing the order so that we can plan our journey in advance.
